Fun Things to Do in Lanzarote

Although villa holidays can often be a good chance to wind down and relax, there are so many fun things you can do on the island that you just have to try some of them. It doesn’t matter what kind of holiday you’re going for, we guarantee that there will be something to suit you. From quiet and peaceful boat trips to a day at the waterpark, you certainly won’t fall short of things to do in Lanzarote.

We’ve given you a few ideas of some of the fun days out you can have during your stay in Lanzarote!

Boat trips

We highly recommend going on one of the boat trips. They are a fantastic way to see the island and all its surroundings, and whether you want something that’s going to give you a thrill, or you just want to relax and enjoy the views, there is definitely something for you. There are several different types of boat trips available for you to choose from, and some of these include: dolphin and whale watching, exhilarating speed boats, a submarine with the opportunity to go diving, and small cruises to some of the stunning locations nearby. There is quite literally something for everybody, and it’s a great way to spend a little part of your day while you’re in Lanzarote!

Open air cinema

Perhaps you fancy doing something a little bit different on this holiday? Puerto Del Carmen is home to the Starlight Open Air Cinema, where you can enjoy a movie with your loved ones out in the warm Lanzarote air. Outdoor cinemas have been getting more popular over the last few years, and there’s no better place to try one out than here. Located on a rooftop with gorgeous views of Puerto Del Carmen, it has luxury seating, wireless headphones, and waiter service so that you can enjoy some drinks and snacks throughout the movie whilst sitting comfortably in your seats.

For some people, visiting a waterpark is staple of every good holiday. Luckily, we have two big waterparks here in Lanzarote, that attract thousands and thousands of visitors each and every year. There is Aquapark in Costa Teguise, and Aqualava in Playa Blanca. Both are perfect if you’re on a family holiday, or simply fancy doing something fun for the day.

Go karting

Sometimes, you can fancy a little break from lying in the sun all day, especially if you’re on a family holiday with young ones who want to do something a bit more fun and exciting. So, the perfect activity to keep everyone happy, is go karting! This is a lot of fun no matter how big or small the group is, and we have brilliant facilities for this on the island.

Lanzarote is well known for being a great location for watersports, and we get a lot of traveling here purely for that reason. Although we are blessed with fantastic weather most of the time and it’s usually very hot and sunny, there is also just the right amount of wind down at the beaches and out at sea, perfect for those that are into their sports such as surfing, paddle boarding and windsurfing. Whether you’re already skilled in one of these sports, or would just like to try one out for a bit of fun, this is the place to be.

Exploring the island

No matter which part of Lanzarote you are staying in, we really do recommend exploring other parts nearby. Each part has something different to offer, whether it’s great food, exciting nightlife, private beaches, or simply just fantastic views. Take an island tour bus, or walk around somewhere new. There is so much to see during your stay here, and we urge you to take advantage of this!
